Cheerson CX-20 Quadcopter Unexpectedly Lands On Wisconsin Airfield

In Wisconsin, a still unknown drone pilot, is facing potential jail time after landing a Cheerson CX-20 quadcopter on the Batten International Airport airfield.

A hobbyist could face jail time if investigators learn who flew a small aircraft near a local airport.

Batten International Airport manager David Mann said a quadcopter was found on a runway over the weekend. “We have no idea who owns it or where it came from,” he said.

If you fly a drone, as a commercial drone operator or as a hobbyist pilot, it’s important that you take the time to learn the laws and regulations that govern the use of your aircraft. A little education can go a long way, and if this is an example of things to come, a little education may just keep you out of legal hot water, too. If you’d like to learn from the best, then consider our drone college. Drone Universities offers a complete curriculum of drone related courses. We even provide free Section 333 Exemptions to our Commercially Ready Graduates.
