FAA Director Speaking At Next Gen Drones In Bethesda, Maryland

In just a few days, on June 23rd and 24th the Knowledge Foundation will be launching their Next Gen Drones conference in Bethesda, MD. The event, being held at the Hyatt Regency, will be addressing “the most advanced research and development issues for UAV commercialization with industry discussions focusing on regulatory updates and safety improvements.”
<blockquote”Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) dominate the worldwide growth of the aerospace industry representing $6.4 billion annually and totaling to an estimated $100 billion over the next 10 years,” said Craig Wohlers, General Manager of The Knowledge Foundation. “This program is designed to bring together the entire ecosystem of the UAV community and we are thrilled to have the key industry speakers within commercial, academic and government organizations presenting on the latest advances in commercialization of UAVs.”

The event will have a lot of interesting presentations, including the keynote presentation by James Williams, Director of the Federal Aviation Administration’s UAS Integration Office. If you want to catch the keynote, you will have to be there on the 24th.
