Andy holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from New Mexico State University, where he focused on systems optimization and resource efficiency, and a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, with a specialization in unmanned aircraft systems and aviation operations.
As the founder of Aerial Amity LLC, Andy has led a wide range of commercial drone projects since 2020, including RTK/PPK aerial surveying, topographic mapping, 3D modeling, infrastructure inspections, and construction monitoring. His work supports engineers, surveyors, and project stakeholders by delivering high-accuracy data and actionable insights while maintaining strict compliance with FAA regulations.
In addition to his business, Andy has extensive industry experience across telecommunications, renewable energy, and media. He has conducted FCC-compliant tower inspections, led solar field drone operations using thermal imaging, and contributed to live aerial cinematography for national broadcast.
Andy’s expertise lies in simplifying complex drone workflows and teaching students how to think in systems — from mission planning and data capture to processing, quality control, and final delivery. His instructional approach emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and real-world application, preparing students to operate confidently in professional environments.
