Drone School: In-Person FAA Part 107 and Commercial Drone Training
150+ years of Aviation and UAS Experience
Drone Universities is a drone school founded in 2014. Our FAA Certified Flight Instructors travel to you in all 50 states, 7 days a week, delivering in-person FAA Part 107 preparation and commercial drone training for individuals, companies, fire and police departments, and government agencies.
What to Expect From Our Drone School
Drone Universities has operated as a drone school since 2014. We built our programs around one idea: pilots learn best when the training comes to them. Instead of asking you to travel to a fixed campus, our FAA Certified Flight Instructors travel to your location, in any of the 50 states, 7 days a week. You train at your property, your job site or a field near you, in the conditions you will actually fly in.
Courses offered
- FAA Part 107 test preparation. Structured ground school covering regulations, airspace, sectional charts, weather, loading and performance, and emergency procedures, followed by hands-on flight practice.
- Commercial specializations. Aerial photography and videography, GIS and mapping, inspections, agriculture, and public safety and law enforcement programs.
- Corporate and agency programs. Group training for companies, fire and police departments, and government agencies, including custom curricula and recurrent training.

Whether you are one pilot or an entire department, the curriculum is adjusted to your industry, your aircraft and your operating environment.
How to Choose a Drone School
When you compare drone schools, ask four questions:
- Who teaches? Look for FAA Certified Flight Instructors with real operational experience.
- Is there hands-on flight time? Passing the Part 107 knowledge test is required, but flight skill comes from supervised practice.
- Does the training fit your work? Generic material rarely covers mapping, inspection or public safety workflows.
- What support is there after the test? Recurrent training and advanced courses keep your skills and certification current.
Drone School Questions
How long does drone school take? Part 107 preparation is followed by your knowledge test at an FAA-approved testing center. The length of specialized courses varies by subject.
Where is training held? At your location. Our instructors travel to individuals and teams anywhere in the United States.
